We interrupt this broadcast…

Now, you may or may have not noticed, Road to Rides is a project that is based pretty generally around the rave scene. What I’m trying to do here is create a nice mixture of every possible facet of the underground electronic culture that is the rave. My main focus when I started was to pay homage to the peace and love utopia that was the original 80’s and 90’s rave scene in all it’s baggy pantsed glory. But as the project progressed, I started finding the beauty in, not only what the rave scene has made for itself today, but how we got from A to B. So that’s what this is all about: Compiling what I hope is a transendental manuel to the rave culture from where it started to where where we are now, in an effort to give the internet a glittering, colorful blip of fixation before they move onto something bigger, better, and with more awkwardly placed fedoras.
